long time I would like both a patchwork of my beloved Retro make materials as well as the shopping bag from the book " 20 Boutique Bags " nachnähen.
Da kam mir die Idee die Einkaufstasche aus einem Patchwork zu fertigen und so zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe zu schlagen. Da ich das Patchwork von Hand quilten möchte wird es ein bißchen dauern bis ich fertig bin. Dafür sehen die Nähte einfach viel, viel weicher aus, wenn es von Hand gequiltet wird. Hier schon mal der Anfang:
Für mich gehören zu einem Patchwork alte Stoffe dazu. Am Anfang I put all materials in a pile to see how they work together.
Then I cut 10x10cm squares and put them in such a way as to be sewn afterwards. For cutting I use a rotary cutter and a Linial, so the squares are exactly 10x10cm in size.
When sewing together squares of each one goes as follows vor.Die squares are not sewn together as a long path, but always in squares. This means first three small squares are sewn together and then these are sewn together to form a large square.
This continues until all the squares are put together.
Now everything is glued with a Textilsprühklebers on a mat. I personally love the Vilene 275 cotton.
Und nun bin ich fleißig am quilten.
